1.SHENZHOU-14 ASTRONAUTS COMPLETE FIRST SPACEWALK
神舟十四号乘组首次出舱
Astronauts Chen Dong and Liu Yang completed their first spacewalk today and returned to the country’s space station. The China Manned Space Agency declared the mission a complete success. Song Wenjing has more.
宇航员陈冬和刘洋今天完成了他们的第一次太空行走，并回到了中国空间站。中国载人航天工程局宣布这次任务取得圆满成功，记者宋文靖带来更多详细报道。

At 6:26 pm yesterday, Chen opened the hatch of lab module Wentian’s airlock cabin.
昨晚（9/1）6点26分，航天员陈冬成功开启问天实验舱气闸舱出舱舱门。

Hello, everyone. I’m out of the module【舱】. I'm feeling good.
大家好，我是01，我已出舱，感觉良好。

With assistance from Liu, Chen installed a foot restraint and extravehicular workbench to complete various tasks. About half an hour later, Liu also exited the space station.
在航天员刘洋的配合下，陈冬完成了脚限位器和舱外工作台的安装。陈冬出舱大约半个小时后，航天员刘洋也成功出舱。

The pair installed an extended pump set for the Wentian lab module, lifted the module’s panoramic【全景的】camera, and verified the capability for independent transfers and emergency returns to the spacecraft. 
航天员圆满完成了问天舱扩展泵组安装、问天舱全景相机抬升和舱外自主应急返回验证等任务。

This is the first time we have used the airlock cabin to carry out a spacewalk, the first time we have used a small mechanical arm, and the first spacewalks for Liu and I. With all of these firsts, we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery outside the station, learned how difficult spacewalks are and felt that our country’s space station is constantly improving. 
这是航天员第一次从气闸舱出舱，也是第一次使用小（机械）臂，更是我和02第一次的出舱活动，在这么多第一次当中，我们感受到了舱外的美景，感受到出舱的不易，感受到了中国空间站在不断地壮大。

2.20 MORE PROJECTS LINED UP FOR PUDONG TO BOOST AI INDUSTRIAL CHAIN
20多个重点产业项目在浦东签约，助力浦东AI产业链进一步完善
Agreements were signed on more than 20 major industrial projects in Pudong as the area is the country’s first for trials of AI applications. The projects are expected to complement the AI industrial chain. Zhang Hong brings us more details.
作为全国首个人工智能应用试验区，今天（9/2），20多个重点产业项目在浦东新区签约落地，这些项目预计将助力人工智能产业链进一步完善。记者张泓带来更多详细报道。

The projects are expected to attract investment exceeding 5 billion yuan, some of which use AI technology in the bio-medicine and automobile sectors. DP Technology is building a research and development center to explore the use of AI in developing new drugs.
此次落地的20多个人工智能重点项目，总投资额有望突破50亿元，其中涉及人工智能技术与生物医药、汽车产业的结合项目。比如，深势唯思科技要在上海设立研发中心，就是要通过人工智能技术来开发新药物。

When we’re developing a drug, we need to simulate 1,000 or 2,000 molecules【分子】. If it’s done manually, it would take one year. Now with the calculating tool, it only takes one or two days, and then we only need to turn the top 100 possible molecules into compounds. 
比如说在药物筛选的阶段，以前合成一两千个分子去做一条（研发）管线，可能需要一年时间，花费非常多人力物力。现在有了计算工具，一两天内就可以完成一两千个分子的计算，最后只需要合成排名前一百的就可以。

Automobile operating system provider Banma will set up a branch in Jinqiao Intelligent Connected Vehicle Testing Demonstration Zone, where driverless car testing is allowed on open roads.
汽车操作系统供应商斑马智行将在金桥智能网联汽车测试示范区设立分支机构，希望借助开放道路进行无人驾驶汽车测试。

For example, manufacturing companies in Kangqiao need digital and automation upgrading. So we want to attract those with expertise in automatic guided vehicles and automation to help these manufacturers.

Pudong New Area was listed as the country’s first place for trials of AI applications back in 2019. The sector’s output in Pudong has exceeded 120 billion yuan, accounting for 40% of Shanghai’s total AI output.

3.ZAPORIZHZHIA NUCLEAR PLANT’S PHYSICAL INTEGRITY VIOLATED
扎波罗热核电站的完整性已遭到破坏
International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Rafael Grossi and some members of his delegation【代表团】 yesterday visited the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine. Grossi says the physical integrity of the plant has been violated as shelling continues near the facility. Lei Shuran has more.

The nearly 5-hour visit from the 14-member IAEA expert delegation came after months of negotiations to pass through the front lines and get inside Europe’s largest nuclear plant. Later in the day, Grossi reported that the group had collected important information on its first tour of the plant and would continue its assessment. He added he would continue to worry until the situation at Zaporizhzhia had stabilized.
由14名专家组成的国际原子能机构考察团经过数月的谈判，终于穿过前线进入欧洲最大的核电站，进行了近5个小时的访问。当天晚些时候，格罗西报告说，考察团在首次参观该厂时收集了重要信息，并将继续进行评估。他补充说，在扎波罗热的局势稳定下来之前，核电站的情况将一直令人担忧。

It is obvious that the plant and the physical integrity of the plant has been violated several times, by chance, by deliberation, we don’t have the elements to assess that, but this is a reality that we have to recognize and this is something that cannot continue to happen.

Grossi said five representatives of the IAEA mission will remain at Zaporizhzhia to keep an eye on the developing situation.

Despite the presence of the IAEA, shelling continues near the nuclear power plant. Ukraine said one of the plants reactors was shut down by Russian shelling, while Moscow said it had thwarted【挫败】a Ukrainian attempt to seize the plant. Both sides accused each other of trying to sabotage【蓄意破坏】the IAEA visit to the plant.
