As of today, all people traveling or returning to Shanghai from other provinces will receive a notification saying "less than five days upon arrival" on their health code page. They are banned from entering most public venues, including eateries and supermarkets, for five days upon arrival. Various establishments are making sure people scan the venue code when entering. Song Wenjing tells us more.

今日（11/24）起，所有来沪返沪的人员在“随申码”的展示界面显示“来沪返沪不满5天”的标记提示，将被禁止进入大多数公共场所，包括饮食店和超市。各场所工作人员确保市民进入前扫描场所码。记者宋文婧带来更多报道。

At noon, Ms. Jin was checking in to a hotel on West Yan’an Road in Changning District. She is on a business trip from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. The hotel staff checked her health code and found a notification saying "less than five days upon arrival".

Health code checks were also in place at railway stations and highway toll gates. At a Shanghai Railway Station exit, passengers were lining up to have their health code scanned. A notification appearing immediately after they scanned the code.

At highway toll gates, police officers stopped vehicles from outside Shanghai and asked people to scan a code. The city has already added PCR testkiosks【亭】at busy intersections.Shanghai will work with neighboring Zhejiang and Jiangsu to create a white list system to verify individuals who regularly cross provincial borders so that they will not be banned from entering public venues.

Marine Innovation Park officials in Lingang Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone want to focus more resources on themarine【海洋的】 biomedicine【生物医学】industry. The goal is to better connect companies with research institutes and universities to commercialize their study results. Zhang Yue has more.

Professors and students from Shanghai Ocean University’s College of Fisheries and Life Sciences have been doing research on zebrafish, a species which has been studied extensively due its fullysequenced【测定序列】genome, externalfertilization【受精】, and rapid growth. A professor from the university said zebrafish and humans share about 87% of the same genes.

After gene editing on these fish, they can be used as a model for around 100 human diseases. We can use the fish in this tank to simulate congenital heart disease. We can observe them with a microscope as their entire body is transparent, so we can also mark what we have observed with a marker pen.
