2.17年大作文：有书与读书
What catches my attention most in the caricatures is the drastic difference between modern young people'attitudes towards reading books. In the left picture is a young man, who, sitting comfortably in an armchair, is content with owing many books. However, in the right one, another young man is reading a book and planning to finish reading 20 books in a year. Under the cartoon, there is a topic which says:“Owning Books or Reading Them”.
Simple as the cartoons seem, they transmit a thought-provoking message that young people should attach more importance to reading books so that they can acquire knowledge and skills needed to create a bright future of their own. However, the reality is something else. Numerous students, like the boy in the left picture, do not read books at all and they just take comfort in buying many books. This is partly due to the fact that their wealthy parents have spoiled them, thereby making them lazy and unwilling to acquire knowledge from reading, but also because there are a lot of entertainments that distract them from reading.
Reading books, to sum up, is of cardinal importance. Instead of buying many books for our decoraos, we should start reading one, immense ourselves in it and take in the wisdom from it.
