In tonight's bedtime story, prepare to meet a unicorn with a bad case of the Grumps. It's called grumpycorn and it's written and illustrated by Sarah McIntyre.

Unicorn was sitting in his special writing house. “um I'm going to write the most fabulous story in the world.” he thought.

This made him feel very pleased with himself. He already liked being a writer. But unicorn didn't know where to begin his story.

“I need um... my special fluffy pen.” he said. He went and got his special fluffy pen, but he didn't know what to write.
“我需要嗯……我那支特别的蓬蓬笔。”他说。他去拿他那支特殊的笔，但他不知道该写些什么。
“I need a cup of my special Moon Berry tea.” he said. “Then I will be able to write my story.” He went and made himself a cup of his special Moon berry tea.
“我要一杯特制的月浆果茶。”他说，“然后我就可以写我的故事了。”他去给自己泡了一杯特别的月浆果茶。
And Unicorn sat at his desk wondering what to write in his special fancy notebook. “Ah.” he sighed. “I wish an idea would come knocking at my door.”

But Narwhal knocked instead “What are you doing, Unicorn?”

“I'm busy writing the most fabulous story in the world.” said Unicorn.
“我正忙着写下世界上最精彩的故事呢。”独角兽说。
“Oh, wow!” said Narwhal. “Could I be in your story?
“哇，太棒了！”独角鲸说：“我能出现在你的故事里吗？”
“Don’t be silly.” said unicorn. “No one wants to read a story about narwhal. Narwhals are very boring. There will be no narwhals in my story.”
“别傻了。”独角兽说，“没人愿意读一个关于独角鲸的故事。独角鲸是非常无聊的，我的故事里不会有独角鲸的。”
“Oh.” said Narwhal. He swam sadly away.
“哦......”独角鲸说。然后他就难过的游走了。
“Mermaid guess what?” said Narwhal. “Unicorn is writing the most fabulous story in the world.”
“美人鱼，猜猜发生了什么。”独角鲸说，“独角兽正在写世界上最精彩的故事。”
Mermaid looked impressed. She swam off to visit unicorn. “Hello, Unicorn!” she said. “How is your story coming along?”

“Very badly.” said Unicorn. “I am waiting for my moment of Genius. And I do not have any cookies. My genius ideas will only come to me if I can get some cookies to eat.

Mermaid had an idea. “If I bake you cookies... can I be in your story?”

Unicorn thought for a moment. “Maybe...but only if the cookies make me feel inspired.”

Mermaid swam back to her submarine to bake her famous starfish cookies. Narwhal helped. He loved licking the bowl.
美人鱼游回她的潜艇开始制作她非常出名的海星饼干。独角鲸也来帮忙，他喜欢舔碗。
Mermaid brought the cookies to Unicorn. “Now can I be in your story?” she asked Unicorn.

Unicorn took a bite of cookie and looked thoughtful. He ate the whole plate of cookies and kept looking thoughtful. “No.” said Unicorn. “I'm afraid you can't be in my story. They were very good cookies, but they did not inspire me.
独角兽咬了一口饼干，看起来若有所思。他把整盘饼干都吃完了，并一直保持着若有所思的表情。“不行。”独角兽说，“恐怕你不能出现在我的故事里。这些饼干非常美味，但它们并没有给我带来灵感。”
Mermaid swam away in a huff. “What's wrong, Mermaid?” asked Jellyfish.

“Unicorn is writing the most fabulous story in the world.” she sniffed. “But he won't let me be in it, my cookies were not inspiring enough.

“Maybe I'm in it?” said the Jellyfish. “Everyone loves jellyfish.” She wriggled with excitement and swam off to visit Unicorn.

“Hello, Unicorn.” said Jellyfish. “Have you finished your fabulous story yet? I can't wait to read it. Is there a Jellyfish in it? Why don't you let me be in your story? I will be the most Brave Jellyfish and go into space and discover fantastic alien jellyfish and...”

“No.” howled Unicorn. “I can't get any ideas because everyone keeps bothering me! You are all very silly and annoying and I don't want to write the story anymore!”

“Oh, what a grumpycorn!” said Jellyfish.

Unicorn throw his fluffy pen, notebook and his teacup into the sea. They sank down and out and drifted on the ocean currents until...

“Look!” said Mermaid. “It's the most fabulous story in the world.”

“Oh, Yippee! Let's read it.” said Narwhal.

The friends gathered around to read Unicorn's story. But...Unicorn had not written a single word.
这些朋友聚到一起开始来读独角兽的这个故事。但是......独角兽一个字都没写。
“Oh, poor Unicorn.” said Mermaid. “I wish we could help.
“哎，可怜的独角兽。”美人鱼说，“我真希望我可以帮上忙。”
“I have an idea.” said Narwhal. “Once upon a time, a Unicorn tried to write the most fabulous story in the world.”
“我有个主意。”独角鲸说，“从前，有一只独角兽想写出世界上最精彩的故事。”
“He was visited by a world famous baker!” said Mermaid.
“有一个世界著名的面包师来拜访他。”美人鱼说。
“And the bravest Jellyfish in the ocean.” said the Jellyfish.

“And a cleverest narwhal in the whole universe.” Agreed Narwhal.

A few hours later, Unicorn arrived, carrying a big flat box. “I tried to write fabulous story.” he said. “But I was not a very fabulous friend, but I am fabulous at ordering pizza. I bought this to say I'm sorry.”

“That looks like a very inspiring pizza.” said Narwhal. “And you are just in time... to help us finish the most amazing, clever, fabulous and funny story in the world.”

So you see... sometimes unicorns who are grumpy just need the help of their underwater friends and some pizza. And working together, Unicorn, Narwhal, Mermaid and Jellyfish wrote the most incredible story.
所以你看......有时候脾气暴躁的独角兽只是需要水下那些朋友和披萨的帮助。通过一起协作，独角兽，独角鲸，美人鱼和水母写出了最棒的故事。
