Once upon a time, thre was a king, he had several daughters and the youngest princess was the most beautiful one. People called her little princess.
On the twelfth birthday of little princess, the king gave her a golden ball as her birthday gift. She liked it very much. There was a deep pool in the forest behind the palace. little princess often went there. Whenever she felt bored, she would take out the ball, toss and then catch it. It was her favourite game. One day, she went to the pool as usual. She tossed the ball but failed to catch it. The ball dropped into the pool and disappeared.
Little princess began to cry. Suddenly, she haeard a voice, "What 's the matter, Little princess? Why are you crying?"
She looked around, but there was nobody, Then she heard the voice again:"Are you looking for me?" She looked down and found a frog sitting on a lotus leaf. It was an ugly frog with a big head.
"My favourite golden ball dropped itno the lake," Little princess said.
"How can you reward me if I fetch it back for you?" the frog asked.
"Whatever you want," Little princess answered.
"I want to be your friend and I wish we could play, eat and sleep together," the frog said.
"No problem," Little princess answered while thinking to herself, "I'll neve make friends with such an ugly frog." The grog believed what little princess said. He jumped into the pool and brought out the golden ball.
Little Princess was so happy to get her ball back. The frog was happy, too. because now he became the princess's friend. He couldn't wait to play with little princess.
