1.SH HALF MARATHON RETURNS
半马赛事重回上海
Registration started this afternoon for the 2023 Shanghai Half Marathon, which will take place on April 16th in Pudong. The event was canceled last year due to the pandemic. And the top 200 male and 100 female runners will automatically enter in the 2023 Shanghai Marathon. Zhang Yue has more.
上海半程马拉松于今天（03/09）下午启动报名工作，将于4月16日在浦东开跑。由于疫情原因，该赛事去年被取消。男子前200名参赛者、女子前100名参赛者将获得2023上海马拉松赛参赛名额。记者张乐带来详细报道。
After being canceled in 2022, the 7th Shanghai Half Marathon will begin at 7am on April 16th. 15,000 runners will be split into three groups.
自2022年被取消后，第七届上海半程马拉松将于4月16日上午7点开跑。15000名参赛者将被分成三组。
With a total distance of nearly 21.1 kilometers, the route starts at Oriental Pearl TV Tower on Fenghe Road, and competitors will cross the finish line at SPDBANKOriental Sports Center.
比赛路线全长近21.1公里，起点位于浦东新区丰和路的东方明珠广播电视塔。参赛者将在浦发银行东方体育中心跨过终点线。
An organizer said this year’s route is a little different with runners taking Qiantan Avenue, instead of Qiantan Leisure Park, where its narrow paths are not suitable for large-scale running events.
一位组织者说，今年的赛事路线路进行了微调。考虑到前滩公园内路段较为狭窄，不适合大规模的跑步活动，今年的参赛者将不再途经公园内部，而是转向更为宽阔的前滩大道。
The health of runners remains the top priority, as this will be the first long-distance race for most participants after recovering from COVID-19.

“In addition to several medical service spots and ambulances, we will also have professional medics along the route to care for runners who are not feeling well. We also suggest runners get a physical before registering to make sure they are healthy for a long run.”
Elite runners from overseas will be invited this year. Registration costs 160 yuan per person and the deadline is March 12th. Participants can register on the official website or smartphone app.
今年上海半马将恢复邀请国际精英选手参与赛事。赛事报名费为160元人民币/人，截止日期为3月12日。参赛者可以在官方网站或手机应用程序上进行报名。
On April 9th, children will be able to run a 4.7-kilometer race with their parents during the 2023 Adidas Kids Marathon.
2023阿迪达斯少儿马拉松将于4月9日举行，孩子们可以与父母一起完成4.7公里的亲子欢乐跑。
Other international sports competitions will return this year, including the Shanghai Masters tennis tournament, an LPGA Tour event, and the snooker Shanghai Masters. However, the F1 Chinese Grand Prix and equestrian Global Champions Tour events will not be held this year.

2.CREDIT SUISSE GETS APPROVAL FORNATIONWIDE CHINA WEALTH BUSINESS

Credit Suisse has received approval to launch a full-fledged wealth management business in China, according to a company memo seen and reported on by Reuters.
据路透社报道，根据一份公司备忘录，瑞士信贷银行已获批在中国全境开展财富管理业务。
The memo said Credit Suisse Securities (China), the company’s China joint venture【合资企业】, recently obtained an investment consultancy license. That will allow the company to create and distribute equity research products onshore and engage in investment advisory services.
公司备忘录显示，瑞信证券（中国），即该公司的中国合资企业，最近获得投资咨询牌照，允许其在中国境内成立和销售股票研究产品，并从事投资咨询服务。
At the same time, the firm obtained approvals for proprietary【私有的】 trading and for an expansion of its brokerage license, enabling it to work nationwide, as opposed to only in Shenzhen where it operated previously.
瑞信中国还获准进行自营业务，原有的证券经纪业务展业范围扩展至全国（此前仅限于深圳）。

日本首相岸田文雄：核污染水何时排海“由我决定”
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said yesterday that he would decide on the exact timing of the nuclear wastewater discharge plan of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Stephen Rancourt has more.
日本首相岸田文雄昨日（03/08）表示，福岛第一核电站核污染水具体排海时间将由他亲自决定。记者Stephen Rancourt 带来详细报道。
Kishida said that a variety of factors will be taken into account before a decision is made on when the discharging will begin.
岸田文雄还称，将综合考虑各种因素来决定何时开始排放核废水。
In 2021, the Japanese government announced that it would discharge more than 1 million tons of contaminated【受污染的】water in stages after treatment and dilution, and that was to begin in the spring or summer of 2023.

Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, is one of the areas that is contaminated by radionuclides【放射性核素】as a result of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear disaster.

The town had a population of 21,000 before the incident, today notquite 2,000 residents remain.

Last November, Tokyo-based firm Biomass Resin opened a factory in Namie. The raw materials are reborn as low-carbon plastic cutlery and takeout containers used in chain restaurants.
