With advancements in Generative AI technology (e.g. ChatGPT, Midjourney), there has been a growing concern, confusion, and at the same time also excitement and expectations on how Generative AI is going to impact higher education and transform the way we learn and teach. This episode invited three professors from four diverse range of disciplines: English language, business, computer science, and robotics to discuss the following topics:
· How is generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT) going to impact how we teach and how our students learn in your discipline?
· What new opportunities does generative AI create for students and educators, and how can these opportunities be leveraged effectively?
· Can AI facilitate better learning outcomes for students compared to teachers who may have little time for their students, particularly in larger class sizes?
· Considering the rapid development of generative AI, what is the core value of human teachers?
