1.SHENZHOU-16 DOCKS WITH SPACE STATION
神舟十六号载人飞船发射取得圆满成功
The Shenzhou-16 manned space-ship was launched a-top a Long March-2F carrier rocket from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 9:31am today, sending three astronauts to the country's space station, according to the China Manned Space Agency. Zhang Yue has more.
据中国载人航天工程办公室消息，今天（05/30）上午9点31分，搭载神舟十六号载人飞船的长征二号F遥十六运载火箭，在酒泉卫星发射中心点火发射，三名航天员顺利进入中国空间站。记者张乐带来更多报道。
A send-off ceremony for Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao was held at 6:42 am at the launch center.
上午6点42分，景海鹏、朱杨柱、桂海潮的出征仪式在卫星发射中心举行。
“总指挥长同志，我们奉命执行神舟十六号载人航天飞行任务。准备完毕，是否出征，请指示。航天员景海鹏。”
“航天员朱杨柱。”

“Comrade commander-in-chief, we are following the order to implement the Shenzhou-16 manned spaceflight mission. And we are now ready to go. Please give instructions! Astronaut Jing Haipeng.”
“Astronaut Zhu Yangzhu.”
“Astronaut Gui Haichao.”
“Proceed!”
“Yes!”
Two minutes later, the crew set off.
两分钟后，航天员乘组领命出征。

“Five, four, three, two, one, ignite!”
At 9:31 am, the rocket blasted off. About 10 minutes after liftoff, the spacecraft separated from the carrier rocket and entered a predetermined【预定的】orbit. All three astronauts are in good condition.
上午9点31分，火箭发射升空。升空约10分钟后，飞船与运载火箭分离，进入预定轨道。三名宇航员状况良好。

The spaceship docked to the space station's core module this afternoon. The three astronauts will remain aboard the space station for five months to complete science experiments, maintenance and a spacewalk. They are also replacing the three astronauts of the Shenzhou-15 mission, who are scheduled to return to Earth in early June.
飞船下午成功对接于空间站天和核心舱径向端口。三名宇航员将在空间站停留五个月，进行出舱活动，开展空间科学实试验，完成设备维护维修等各项任务。他们将与6月初返回地面的神舟十五号航天员乘组进行在轨轮换。
2.CHINESE DEFENSE MINISTER TO ATTEND SHANGRI-LA DIALOGUE

Chinese State Councilor and Minister of National Defense Li Shangfu will attend the 20th Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. The Ministry of National Defense made the announcement at a news briefing yesterday. Zhang Hong tells us more.
国防部在昨天（05/29）的国防部例行记者会上发布信息，国务委员兼国防部长李尚福将出席第20届香格里拉对话会并访问新加坡。记者张泓带来更多报道。
Tan Kefei, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, said Li will give a speech at the event. He will also hold meetings with leaders of the Singaporean government.
国防部新闻发言人谭克非表示，李部长将在会议期间中发表讲话，并与新加坡政府领导举行会见会谈。
While responding to the US claim of destroying its chemical weapons stockpile by this autumn, Tan said China urged the United States to take concrete actions to fulfill its commitments and adhere【遵守】 to the Chemical Weapons Convention.
美方称拟于今秋前完成销毁本国化学武器库存工作。对此谭克非表示，中国敦促美国以实际行动履行其承诺，遵守《禁止化学武器公约》。

“Since the Chemical Weapons Convention came into effect 26 years ago, over 99 percent of the world's chemical weapons stockpiles have been eliminated. Seven out of the eight countries that declared chemical weapons stockpiles have completed the destruction of their chemical weapons. The United States is the only country that still has a chemical weapons stockpile【库存】.”
Tan also said the progress of destruction of Japan's abandoned chemical weapons in China is severely lagging behind. He said China urges Japan to enhance its sense of urgency and step up actions to ensure these abandoned chemical weapons are destroyed in a safe and thorough manner as soon as possible.
谭克非还指出，日本遗弃在华化学武器销毁进程严重滞后。中方敦促日方增强紧迫感，加大投入，早日、干净、彻底消除日遗化武毒害。
3.NEW DEVELOPMENT BANK MEMBERS MEET TO LAY OUT NEW GLOBAL PLANS

Yesterday the New Development Bank successfully issued an 8.5 billion yuan bond in the China Inter-bank Bond Market, well above bank's previous record for an issue, which was 7 billion yuan. The bank is accelerating its support for developing nations, and that was at the core of its eighth annual meeting which opened today at its head-quarters in Shanghai. Thehost country this year is China. Our reporter Zhang Shixuan was at the plenary【全体出席的】 session this morning.

Member country leaders and the president of the New Development Bank re-iterated their goal of becoming a major international supporter of sustainable growth among developing nations, as well as increasing cooperation among the member nations of the bank itself.

The theme for this year's annual meeting is "Shaping a New Era for Global Development". The meeting will focus on current and future global development issues and perspectives, and on how the bank could contribute to shaping a new era of development in BRICS and other emerging economies and developing countries.

This is the first face-to-face annual meeting of the New Development Bank in 3 years. Financing discussions also included the topic of promoting the national currencies of member countries. That's already fairly high, with cumulative loan approvals denominated in the national currencies of member countries standing at 21.5% at the end of the first quarter of the year.
