Dad said,"We have a new baby and she's coming home today.”

爸爸说：“今天我们会有一个新宝宝到家里来。”

I got out my ball and bat

我拿出了我的球和球棒，

and all my favorite games to show to the baby.

还有我最爱的游戏给宝宝看。

I found my favorite picture book

我找到了我最喜欢的图画书 ,

and read it out loud to the baby.

并且大声的读给宝宝听。

But the new baby didn't pay any attention to me.

但是这个新宝宝对我置之不理。

She cried a lot...even when I told her my best joke.

她不停的哭...即使我给她讲我最好笑的笑话。

I made my funniest face ever and she cried even louder.

即使我给她做最好笑的鬼脸她哭的更大声了。

I tried to dress her but she was too wiggly and floppy. 

我试着给她穿衣服但是她要动而且软软的。

And sometimes she smelled funny and Mom had to changer her.

有时候她身上闻起来怪怪的而妈妈不得不给她换。

So what can you do with a new baby?

所以对一个新宝宝你会怎么做呢？

Mom says we can cuddle her...

妈妈说我们可以抱着她...

...and rock her to sleep.

...或者摇床让她入睡。

We can tickle her tummy and make her laugh...

我们可以给她肚子挠痒痒使她笑...

Or give her a rattle to play with.

或者给她一个儿童玩具。

I can give her my finger to grab...

我可以给她抓我的手指...

let her pull my nose.

让她拉我的鼻子。

I can take her for a walk and show her to my friends.

我可以带她去散步并把她给我的朋友认识。

They think I'm so lucky.

他们会认为我很幸运。
