训练Sam

I have a dog named Sam．

我有一只狗，名字叫Sam。

I feed him in the morning and at night．

我早晚给他喂食。

Sometimes I play with him．

有时候我跟他一起玩。

I like him and he likes me,

 but if I want him to be a good dog, I must train him．

我喜欢他，他也喜欢我，

但是如果我想让他成为一只好狗，我还得训练他。

First, I train Sam to come．

首先，我训练Sam过来。

I put Sam on a long leash．

我把Sam拴在长长的皮带上。

He walks away from me．

他从我身边走开。

I clap my hands and say, “Sam,come!”

我拍着手说：“Sam，过来！”

Slowly I pull the leash until Sam is beside me．

我慢慢地拉皮带直到Sam回到我身边。

I do not pull hard because I don’t want to hurt Sam．

我不会用力拉皮带，因为我不想伤到Sam。

Every day I teach Sam．Now he comes when I call him．

每天我都教Sam，现在我一叫他，他就过来。

Next I teach Sam to walk on a leash．

然后我教Sam 拴着皮带走路。

I hold most of the leash in my hand．

我把大部分的皮带握在手里。

I want Sam to learn to walk beside me．

我想让 Sam 学会在我身边走路。

Gently, I tug on the leash and say, “Sam, walk! ”

我轻轻地拉皮带说：“ Sam，走！”

Sam learns to walk beside me．

Sam 学会了在我身边走路。

Last, I teach Sam to sit．

最后，我教Sam 坐下。

I wave my hand down and say, “Sam, sit! ”

我挥手说：“山姆，坐下！”

I gently push Sam down until he sits．

我轻轻地推 Sam让他坐下。

Soon,Sam learns to sit．

很快，Sam就学会了坐。

I never hit Sam．

我从来不打Sam。

I tell him when I am angry, and I pet him when he does well．

当我生气的时候，我会跟他说。当他做的好的时候，我会轻抚他。

I know that if I take care of Sam, he will always be my friend．

我知道如果我能照顾好Sam，他会是我永远的朋友。
