Half of Americans are lonely

孤独已成为美国'流行病'

A new report finds many Americans are lonely, and younger adults appear to be the hardest hit. 

最新调查发现，很多美国人感到孤独，其中年轻人是最孤独的群体。

Health insurer Cigna's 2018 US Loneliness Index found that 46% of Americans report feeling lonely sometimes or always, and 47% report feeling left out. 

据信诺保险公司2018年度"美国人孤独指数"显示，46%的美国人有时或经常感到孤独，47%觉得被遗忘。

A little less, 43%, report feeling isolated from others, and the same number report feeling they lack companionship and their relationships lack meaning. Cigna calls those "epidemic levels." 

43%觉得与人群格格不入，43%觉得缺少陪伴，认为他们的人际关系没有意义。信诺公司称这已达到"流行病"的程度。

The report, conducted in partnership with Ipsos, surveyed 20,000 people in the US using UCLA's Loneliness Scale.

Feelings of loneliness are worse in younger generations than in older ones, with Generation Zers, ages 18-22, and Millennials reporting higher feelings of loneliness and isolation on the Loneliness Scale than older generations. 

相较于年长的群体，年轻人"感到孤独"的情况更严重。孤独量表报告中Z世代(18-22岁)及千禧一代的年轻人感到孤独和隔绝的程度比年长的群体更高。

Gen Zers, scored a loneliness rate of 48.3 out of 80, making them the loneliest generation.

Fruit diet helps to conceive

Eating plenty of fruit could help women conceive, a new study suggests.

一项新研究显示，吃大量的水果有助于女性怀孕。

Researchers who looked at more than 5,500 women from Britain, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand found those who consumed the least fruit were 50% more likely to be infertile. 

研究人员对来自英国、爱尔兰、澳大利亚和新西兰的5500多名女性进行调查后发现，吃水果最少的人不孕的几率高出50%。

And compared to women who ate fruit three or more times a day in the month before conception, women who ate fruit less than one to three times a month took half a month longer to become pregnant. 

相较那些在怀孕前一个月每天吃3次及以上水果的女性，吃水果1-3次的女性要多花半个月的时间才能受孕。

Data show that frequent consumption of fast foods also delays time to pregnancy, researchers said. 

研究人员称，数据显示，经常吃快餐也会推迟受孕时间。

Compared to women who never or rarely ate fast food, women who consumed fast food four or more times a week took nearly a month longer to become pregnant. 

相较那些从不或很少吃快餐的女性，一周吃4次及以上快餐的女性要多花近一个月的时间才能成功受孕。

Their risk of infertility also doubled from 8-16%.

她们不孕的风险也成倍增加，从8%提高到16%。

UK begins online divorces

英国推行网上离婚系统

The United Kingdom has introduced online divorces in England and Wales, the Ministry of Justice announced.

英国司法部宣布，英格兰和威尔士已经推行了网上离婚。

The online service uses clear, non-technical language, with the whole process able to be completed online, including payment and uploading supporting evidence. 

该在线服务使用清楚的非技术语言，包括支付及上传证据在内的所有流程都可在网上完成。

The ministry said 1,000 petitions were issued through the new system during the recent pilot phase, with more than nine of every 10 saying they were satisfied with the service. 

司法部表示，近日试行期间，新系统处理了1000起离婚申请，超过90%的申请者对服务表示满意。

Justice Minister Lucy Frazer, said: "More people will have the option of moving from paper-based processes to online systems which will cut waste, speed up services which can be safely expedited, and otherwise better fit with modern day life."

Canadian Lindsay Nemeth took just 75 hours 6 minutes to visit 12 magical attractions, earning the record for the fastest time to visit all Disney theme parks. 

加拿大女子琳赛?内梅特日前仅耗时75小时6分就逛遍了12家迪士尼乐园，刷新了最快游遍所有迪士尼主题乐园的世界纪录。

After conquering all of the theme parks in the US, Lindsay then headed to Disneyland Resorts of Europe, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and finally ended her epic journey in Tokyo. 

琳赛游览完美国境内所有的主题乐园后便前往欧洲、上海、香港的迪士尼度假村，最终在东京结束了她浩大的行程。

As Lindsay could afford no delays, her only option for sleeping was on her plane rides. Her biggest obstacle was making sure she didn't miss any of her scheduled flights.

由于耗不起行程，琳赛只能选择在搭乘飞机时睡觉，她所面临的最大挑战是确保自己不错过任何订好的航班。
