US researchers have found that driving a flashy car is a turn-off for both men and women who are looking for a life partner. 

美国研究人员发现，寻找终身伴侣的男女会对开豪车的人敬而远之。

Despite the hefty price-tag and pleasing aesthetics, neither sexes are impressed by extravagant vehicles when seeking a long-term relationship, viewing their drivers as less reliable and more sexually promiscuous. 

研究称，尽管豪车价格高昂、外观养眼，但是寻找长期伴侣的男女却不会为之所动，反而会认为豪车主人较不可靠而且更放荡。

In fact, the study suggested people who are seeking marriage should ditch the sports car and instead choose something more sensible. 

事实上，研究表明，想结婚的人应该舍弃跑车，选择一些"靠谱"的车。

It follows recent research which found women believed Porsche Boxster owners were less likely to want a committed relationship than Honda Civic drivers. 

前不久有研究发现，女性认为开保时捷Boxster的人对稳定感情关系的需求要低于开本田思域的人。

An Alabama boy named Trenton McKinley is recovering from an accident no one thought he'd survive. In fact, doctors declared him dead and were getting ready to donate his organs when he regained consciousness. 

一个名叫特伦敦•麦金莱的阿拉巴马男孩正从一场意外中恢复过来，此前没有人认为他能活下来。事实上，医生宣布了他已死亡，且在他重获知觉时正为捐献他的器官做准备。

The 13-year-old was at a friend's house two months ago, playing in a small utility trailer. "It flipped and I hit the concrete, and the trailer landed on top of my head," Trenton said. 

两个月前在一个朋友家里，这个十三岁的男孩正在一辆小型实用拖车中玩耍。"它翻倒了然后我撞向了地面，拖车压在了我的脑袋上，"特伦敦说。

"After that, I don't remember anything." Trenton suffered severe brain trauma and was rushed to an Alabama hospital with seven skull fractures. He was declared braindead, and his parents signed paperwork to donate his organs to save five other children.

But, the day before doctors were set to take him off life support, Trenton woke up. Now he's in rehab, and although he has a long road with recovery ahead, he's getting stronger every day.

Uber, NASA to make 'flying cars'

Uber and NASA announced Tuesday they're teaming up to simulate flying taxis in urban areas.

In 2016, Uber unveiled plans to develop electric flying cars to improve transportation in cities, alleviate congestion and provide affordable transportation.

NASA became a partner for the program a year later by developing air traffic management for a fleet of flying cars.

Uber said it will share its plans for a ridesharing network of flying cars with NASA, which will conduct simulations.

Although the vertical takeoff and landing vehicles seem like glorified helicopters, Uber believes its concept will be safer and cheaper than what's already available.

"Urban air mobility could revolutionize the way people and cargo move in our cities and fundamentally change our lifestyle much like smart phones have," NASA associate administrator Jaiwon Shin said.

Benjamin Netanyahu put his foot in his mouth by serving visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe dessert in a shoe.

The Israeli Prime Minister was dining with Abe and his wife Akie at his residence with a top-notch meal prepared by celebrity chef Segev Moshe.

The trio and Netanyahu's wife Sara enjoyed the food but the presentation of the milk, gold, and white chocolate praline dessert caused a stir. 

三人和内塔尼亚胡的妻子萨拉一起享用美食时，上的一道牛奶、黄金、白巧克力果仁糖做的甜点引发骚动。

While Abe took the unusual presentation in stride, Japanese and Israeli diplomats were shocked the Japanese prime minister would be served from a shoe.

"This was a stupid and insensitive decision," said a senior Israeli diplomat, who had previously served in Japan.

"There is nothing more despised in Japanese culture than shoes. Not only do they not enter their houses while wearing shoes, you will not find shoes in their offices either. It is equivalent to serving a Jewish guest chocolates in a dish shaped like a pig."

一位日本外交官表示："没有哪种文化会把鞋放在餐桌上，如果是为表达幽默，我们并不觉得这很有趣。我可以告诉你，我们因首相的遭遇感到被冒犯了。"
