China talks of how when BA first flew to Beijing in 1980 there was very little
competition on the route to London. Over the past 35 years the scene has totally
changed with this now being a very busy market. As Richard explains, the airline
has worked hard to retain its position as a leader for this service. He talks of
the airline's selling points - the only carrier with four classes of service on
its flights; of how flights come into London Heathrow T5 with good timed onward
connections. He mentions how BA is now operating the latest and the best of
their aircraft fleet on the Chinese routes including, soon, the B787-9
Dreamliner to and from Shanghai.
