The bar chart below shows the profits made by each of a company’s three factories for each quarter of the year 2003.The pie chart shows the number of workers in each of the factories during that year.

Using the information from the charts, write a short report describing the trends in profits and the number of employees in each factory.

Write 120-140 words.

Part One（真题集3-test4) Band 5 范文（可模枋）
This report outlines the development of profits in three factories, Bristol, Leeds and London in each quarter of 2003 and describes the personnel situation in each factory.

Bristol, the company’s largest factory, employed 600 staff and reached profits of nearly 12million pounds in the first quarter of 2003. However, the profits declined steadily, dropping to 9 million pounds in the last quarter.

Leeds had a workforce of 350 people, which means it was the company’s second largest factory. Profit remained almost unchanged at 8 million pounds. In the third quarter, however they reached a low at 7.5million pounds.

The London factory had 150 employees, profit did not vary much and remained just over 3 million pounds. Nevertheless, they peaked in the second quarter with earning exceeding the 4 million pounds level.
