2.教发音的目标 the goal of teaching pronunciation：切合实际的目标 realistic goal 是：
＊连贯性 consistency：发音应该流利和自然 the pronunciation should be smooth and natural；
＊可理解性 intelligibility，发音应该可理解 对听者来说 the pronunciation should be understandable to the listeners；
＊交流的有效性 communicative effective；发音应该帮助传达说者想要传达的意思 the pronunciation should help convey meanings that is intended by the speaker；
3.如何达到好的发音 how to achieve good pronunciation：通过 机械练习 mechanical practice 和意义练习 meaningful practice；
4.练习声音，方法 ways to practice sounds：P95
＊重点练习一个音 focus on a sound：教发音时，我们常常需要关注一个单独的音，尤其是那些很难学的音；
＊知觉练习perception practice：知觉练习的目标是培养学生判断和区分不同声音的能力；知觉练习的一些例子有some examples of perception practice：最小语音差using minimal pairs、相同还是不同same or differents?，剔除一个odd one out；etc
＊产出练习production practice：旨在培养学生发出声音的能力，产出练习 活动的类型：听并重复，填空，造句，使用有意义的情景，使用图片，使用绕口令；
5.练习重音practising stress：重音的两种类型two types of stress：单词层面的重音和短语/句子层面的重音，word-level stress and phrase-level or sentence-level stress；
＊表示 单词、短语、句子 重音模式的3个方式 three ways to show the stress pattern of words, phrases and sentences：使用手势，使用声音，使用黑板，use gestures, use the voice, use the blacboard；
