Today has several words that either sound the same or are spelled the same which are often confused. Today, I'll teach you two of them and how to use them correctly.
Words
'accept' - accepted
'except' - except
Practice
The student could not accept the low grade he received.
The student would have scored higher except, he did not study very hard.
The lady could accept everything except the very hard work that she had to do.
The store could accept bank cards for payment.
The store accepted every bank card except one.
In the USA, we have to accept the outcome of the election for president.
Learn these words so that you can use them the right way. Native English speakers know how to use them. You can use them correctly as well.
