英语美文：Conquer yourself

The climb was pretty intense. we keep climbing higher and higher. The climb get steeper and steeper. Now the air on Mount Everest is one third of the oxygen that you and I are breathing here. So my pace was one step for three breaths.

登山令人筋疲力尽。我们爬得越来越高，路也越来越陡。珠穆朗玛峰上的空气含氧量，只有我们现在这里的三分之一。所以，我每爬一步，就要呼吸三次。

I thought. Man, there's no way I'm gonna make it up to the summit. This is too slow. This is ridiculous. I'm taking these steps and I get to a spot where I cannot take my leg out of the ice. 

我在想，天啊，我不可能登顶了，我爬得太慢了，这太荒唐了。我爬啊爬，然后突然我的脚拔不起来了。
