Write A Letter To God 给上帝写信

Tom was a little boy, when he was 6 years old his mother died.

汤姆是个小男孩，六岁的时候他妈妈就死了。

Tom was anxious to get a bicycle but he couldn't afford it.

他很想有一辆自行车，却买不起。

His stepmother told him to pray to God for it.

他的继母就让他向上帝祈祷。

He prayed and prayed but nothing turned up. He decided to write a letter to God requesting $100.

他祈祷了很久，却什么也没有得到，于是他决定给上帝写封信向他要100美元。

When the postal authorities received the letter to "God", they opened it and send it to the President.

当邮件的管理人员接到这封给“上帝”的信后，就打开看，随后送到了总统那里。

The president was so impressed that he instructed his secretary to send the boy a check for $5 by airmail.

总统看了深受触动，就让他的秘书用航空邮件给这位小男孩寄一张五美元的支票。

 He thought this would be enough for a boy.

他觉得，对于一个小孩来说，5美元足够了。

After the boy torn open the letter, he was delighted with the $5, so he wrote a thank you letter to God as follows:

小男孩拆开信，看到这5美元非常高兴，就写了封感谢信给上帝，他写道：

Dear God,

亲爱的上帝，

Thank you very much for sending me the money. I noticed that you had to send it through Washinton, D.C. As usual, those guys deducted $95.00.

非常感谢您寄给我的钱，但是我注意到您是从华盛顿寄过来的，和以往一样，那些家伙们扣了95美元。
