Some people assume you need to get fire upto fight. But the completely opposite is true. Being calm provides a neutralposition from which you can’think and act. You see clearer, act faster andbecome stronger.
Being calm also helps you with yourrelationships with others. When you are able to stay calm during emotionalepisodes, you’re less likely to overreact and cause unnecessary damage torelationships. So if you are angry, you can choose to stay present with theexperience of anger, let it pass, and decide how to respond when you are in aclearer headspace.
Remember: If you lose your head, you won’tbe able to use it.
