dippy idea 馊主意
There was once a huge and hungry Diplodocus called Dora .
很早很早以前，有一个巨大而饥饿的梁龙叫做朵拉。
Dora often had lots of dippy ideas and was very easily confused.
朵拉总会想出一些馊主意，而且非常容易把自己搞糊涂。
''Hmm … the best leaves are on that side of the tree ,'' she thought , one day .
“嗯……最好的叶子在树的那一边，”有一天，她想着。
''So if I stand here, I can twist my neck round like this to reach them.''
“所以如果我站在这里，我可以把我的脖子这样扭过去够到他们。”
''Dora! You nearly stepped on me.''
“朵拉，差点踩到我！”
shouted a small Ornitholestes . ''Head over there, will you ?''
一只小嗜鸟龙叫道，“把头调到那边去，成不？”
''But my head IS over there ,'' Dora replied , confused.
“但是我的头就是在那边啊！”朵拉回复到，她感到很困惑。
But before Dora could move away , an old Diplodocus appeared through the trees
但是在朵拉能够移开之前，一只老梁龙在大树的缝隙间出现了。
''Sssh! There's an Allosaurus about !'' he hissed.
“嘘嘘嘘，那儿有只异特龙。”他悄声说。
Dora made herself as Small as Possible and hid behind the nearest tree .
朵拉尽可能的把它缩到最小，然后藏在附近的大树后面。
from there she watched as the herd swung their enormous necks and tails at the group of Allosaurus to try to scare them off .
在那里，她看着梁龙们向异特龙们挥舞着他们巨大的脖子和尾巴，想把他们给吓唬走。
After the fight everyone was hungry , but they also wanted to think of new ways to scare off the Allosaurus.
打完架后，大家都感觉到非常饥饿，但是它们还是想要想出一个新的能够吓唬异特龙们的办法。
The Diplodocus were tired of all the neck-swinging and having their meals interrupted.
梁龙们已经对不停的挥舞脖子和被打断进食感到非常厌倦了。
'We could disguise ourselves . . as trees ,'' suggested Dora . "with leaves on our heads. ''
“我们可以把自己伪装成…大树”朵拉建议到。
“把叶子放在我们的头上。”
But no one took Dora seriously , so she wandered off on her own.
但是没有人把朵拉的话当真，所以她一个人郁闷的走掉了。
Deeper in the forest, Dora spotted a Stegosaurus frightening off another Allosaurus.
森林深处，朵拉发现了一头将异特龙吓赶跑的剑龙
''You did it !'' Said Dora , strolling over to the
smiling stagosaurus called Peggy.
“你做到了！”朵拉说，悠闲的走到了微笑着的剑龙身边，剑龙的名字叫佩奇。
'' I wish I had super strong plates on my back ,''
Dora sighed.
“我希望我的背上也有你那样超级强壮的背鳍”朵拉叹气到。
Peggy helped Dora make her own plates with mud and leaves.
佩奇帮助朵拉给她自己用泥巴和叶子做了一些背鳍。
''This is a great idea .'' smiled Dora . ''We'll all
look so super-fierce. ''
“真是个不错的主意，”朵拉笑道，“我们都看起来好凶猛呀。”
''No Allosaurus will dare to come near us. ''
“那些异特龙就不敢靠近我们了。”
But everyone laughed at Dora's idea and went
back to eating leaves.
但是大家都嘲笑朵拉的主意，然后又兜回去吃树叶了。
Poor Dora felt sad as she wandered down to the rock shore to wash off her disguise.
可怜的朵拉，感到十分伤心，她向下漫步到石头滩边想洗去他的伪装。
''Never mind ,'' Said Peggy. ''You'll think of something else. ''
“别介意，”佩奇说，“你会想到别的主意的。”
''Er , Peggy ?'' whispered Dora. ''What's that in the water? ''
“嗯~佩奇？”朵拉小声说道，“水里的那是个什么玩意儿？”
Dora Plunge her head into the water and looked about.
朵拉把她的头探进了水中，去看看那是什么东西。
''who's in here ?'' she tried to say underwater but it came out a little like blooob-bo-ber ? "
“谁在那啊？”他试着在水底下说话，但是声音听起来像是，“布噜布噜呼噜噜～”
''I'm Pete . I'm a Plesiosaurus . Are you coming in for a swim? ''
“是派特，我是一只蛇颈龙。你要下来游一会泳吗？”
Dora thought for a moment . She wasn't
even sure Diplodocus COULD Swim.
朵拉思考了一阵，她甚至不确定梁龙能不能游泳？
''Try it and see , " said Pete.
“试试看吧！”派特说道。
So Dora found some hollow reeds to help her breathe under the water and dived right in.
所以朵拉找到了一些空的芦苇杆来帮助她在水下呼吸，然后直接扎进了水里
''Wow! what a good way to hide ,'' thought Dora. ''My whole herd could fit down here!''
“啊哦，这是个藏起来的好方法，”朵拉想到，“我们整个群体都能藏在这下面。”
''And there's food. '' said Dora , trying a big
clump of seaweed.
“然后这儿还有食物，”朵拉说到，啃了一大口海草。
She didn't see the Allosaurus had returned
And she didn't see Peggy at the edge of
the shore trying to warn her.
朵拉没有看到异特龙们回来了，以及她也没有看到佩奇在石头滩边想要提醒她。
''Peggy ! I've got the best idea ,'' said Dora . ''I
think we should… Woooaaah~''
“佩奇！我想到了一个最好的主意。”朵拉说，“想我们可以…啊哦…”
As Dora staggered out of the sea , she slid into a huge puddle of mud .
朵拉摇摇晃晃的从海里爬了出来，她滑进了一个巨大的泥坑里
She was covered in thick drippy black slime.
她整个龙都被厚重的黑色泥浆包裹住了。
The reeds, leaves and seaweed stuck out at
all angles , The Allosaurus had never seen any thing So terrifying in all their lives.
所有的芦苇，树叶和海藻全部从各个方向支愣出来，异特龙们这辈子都没有见过比这个更可怕的东西了。
''Well done Dora!'' said the Diplodocus herd .
“干得好，朵拉！”梁龙们叫到。
''This dippy idea . wasn't so silly after all. ''
“这个馊主意，还不算太糟糕。”
