Kiss the Earth with Your Feet

用脚掌亲吻大地

Itwas a day in late December.

那是十二月末的一天

TheChristmas tree had been taken down.

圣诞树已经从街头搬走

Thelights and decorations had been boxed up

彩灯和装饰物收回了盒子

andput in the closet

untilnext year.

AndI was feeling a little blue

Isure wasn’t looking forward to the long, cold, dark Winter to come.

Itfelt so alive under my feet.

Ilaughed as I walked along.

Iremembered something I once read too

“Walk as if you were kissing the earthwith your feet.”

Andwith each step, I did so.

Mywalk felt sacred and holy.

我感到自己的步子有种圣洁而神圣的意味

Ifelt a oneness with the world

andthe love of nature all around me.

Withlove in my heart

Ithanked nature for the gift of this day

andno longer dreaded the Winter to come.

Allof us are walking through this life.

Butit is up to each of us how we do so.

但应该怎么走，却是由各人做主
