And after along time the boy came back again.

过了好久好久，那男孩又再回来了

“I am sorryBoy,” said the tree, “ but I have nothing left to give you.

树说：我很抱歉，男孩。 我已经没有东西可以给你了。”

“My apples aregone”

树说：“我没有苹果了“

“My teeth aretoo weak for apples” said the boy.

男孩说： “我牙齿不弱了 不能吃苹果了“

“My branchesare gone. You cannot swing on them” Said the Tree.

树说：”我树枝没了，你不能坐荡秋千“

“I am too oldto swing on branches.” Said the boy.

男孩说“我太老了不能荡秋千了”

“My trunk isgone. You cannot climb” Said the tree.

树说：“我树干没了，不能爬树了”

“I am too tiredto climb,” said the boy.

男孩说：“我太累了不爬树了”

“ I am sorry,”sighed the tree.

树叹气说： “对不起“

“I wish that Icould give you something…but I have nothing left. I am just an old stump. I amsorry…”

树说：“我真希望我还能给你什么，但是我什么都没有了。 我只是个老树墩。 对不起“

“I don’t needvery much now” said the boy.

男孩说：“我现在不需要什么了”

“Just a quietplace to sit and rest. I am very tired.”

男孩说：“我现在只想要一个安静的地方坐着休息，真的好累“

“Well,” saidthe tree, straightening herself up as much as she could,

树把自己挺直起来

“ well, an oldstump is good for sitting and resting. Come boy, sit down. Sit down and rest.”

树说：“老树墩最适坐着和休息。来吧男孩。快坐下休息”

And the boydid.

男孩坐下了。

And the treewas happy.

树感觉很开心。
