THE CRAB AND HIS MOTHER

          An Old Crab said to her son, “Why doyou walk sideways like that, my son?  Youought to walk straight.”

          The Young Crab replied, “Show me how,dear Mother, and I’ll follow your example.”

          The Old Crab tried but tried in vain,and then saw how foolish she had been to find fault with her child.

Crab:   螃蟹                                             Sideway：  （这里）侧面

Ought to： 必须，应该                         Straight：笔直的，竖直的，成直线的

          The Young Crab replied, “Show me how,dear Mother, and I’ll follow your example.”

年轻的螃蟹回答说：“亲爱的妈妈，你走给我看看。我跟你学。”

老螃蟹尽全力想直着走，可是无济于事。然后她看到自己想挑孩子的毛病是多么愚蠢。
