My favourite season of the year is summer. It's hot, it's wet, I love it. It's the time of the year when people go on holidays, either within the country or abroad.

I like summer for many reasons. First of all, I'm from the south of China where it's known for its summer heat, so I don't really mind the temperature as long as there's air conditioning. l don't have to wear many layers. Just shorts and flip-flops and I'm sorted.

Also, summer is great for exercising. It's very easy to warm up for sports in summer. And unlike in winter, whenever l go to the gym, l have to take off my heavy coats and trousers and change into gymclothes and I have to change again when I finish, it's much easier getting ready for workouts in summer.

The most important reason why I enjoy summer, though, is like what I said at the beginning, it's the season for holidays. It's great for travelling during this time of the year. I really enjoy going to the sea in summer, doing activities like snorkelling, walking on the beach, and sun bathing. Speaking of which, I really need to get on with the planning of my holidays for the coming summer.
