WhenI was eleven years old, I began to chat with foreigners. But I was very shy andlacked confidence. Gradually, with the help of my family, I became more andmore outgoing and positive. The following year, I went to Yangzhou with myparents and two foreigners. I became their guide! First, we came to the SlenderWest Lake. They were deeply touched by the beautiful scenery and wanted to lookaround the lake by boat. I told them what the price was and then they got intothe boat. After that, We went to buy souvenirs. The seller couldn’tspeak English. Though it was hard, I tried my best to listen to their wordscarefully and translate the sentences. They bought some souvenirs with my help.Next, we went to a small zoo and took some photos. When we felt hungry, we wentout and had lunch. After lunch, we visited some old houses. I even told the twoforeigners about Chinese history. Though the one-day trip was a greatchallenge for me, yet I learned a lot from the experience.
