It was a busy day on the Island of Sodor. The Fat Controller had given all the engines special jobs to do. Thomas rushed to the Docks.

“Peep, peep!” he whistled. “I mustn’t belate!”

这是多多岛繁忙的一天。胖总管交给所有的火车们一些特殊的工作做。托马斯火速赶往码头。

“哔哔，哔哔！”他鸣响汽笛。“我可不能迟到！”

At the Docks, Thomas, Percy and James were helping Cranky unload cargo from the big ships. “Fancy a race?” called Harold the Helicopter.

“No time for that,” said The Fat Controller.

“The engines need to go to the Steamworks for repair.”

在码头上，托马斯，培西和詹姆士帮助克兰其卸载船上的货物。

Thomas was the first engine to arrive atthe Steamworks.

“Don’t worry, Thomas,” said Victor. “Youjust need a clean and polish and then you’ll be as good as new.”

Thomas was pleased. He would be back towork in no time.

At the end of the day, the tired enginesrolled into the Sheds.

They had all been cleaned and repaired andtheir fenders and footplates shone.

“Thank you for your hard work,” said TheFat Controller.

“You are all Really Useful Engines!”

在一天结束的时候，疲惫的火车们都开进了机房。

他们都被清洗和修理了，挡板和平台都闪闪发光。

“谢谢你们的辛勤工作，“胖总管说。

“你们都是非常有用的小火车！“
