Describe an occasion when you got incorrect information
You should say:
When you got it
How you got it
How you found it was incorrect
And explain how you felt about it
Well, for this topic, I would like to talk about one of my shopping experiences.
Last week I did some shopping with my parents in Wal-Mart. When we stepped into the food area, anemotionally charged(充满热情的) shopping guide approached us in a whiz of enthusiastic glee(热情的招待). First, she gave us each a sample of some coffee that was on promotion. Noticing the contented look(满意的神情) on my parents’ face, she told us that the coffee company had just launched this new flavor which was alimited edition(序列号). Due to the anniversary of the shopping mall, the coffee was on sale with a “buy one get one free” deal. Since the promotion was for that day only, there wasn’t much left.
My parents and I couldn’tresisther enthusiasm(经得住热心推销). Besides, the price was really tempting (确实很有吸引力), so we put four jars into our shopping cart. However, not until we checked out did we find out that the promotion was not what the shopping guide told us. Instead, they just gave us two coupons for free coffee, which could only be used with our next purchase. We were infuriated (生气) about this, and from my perspective, it was a classic case of customer deception (欺骗消费者) in order to boost sales and volume.
