Dian Wei (d. 208) was a military officer of the warlord Cao Cao during the last decades of the Eastern Han period (25-220 CE). He hailed from Jiwu in the commandery in Chenliu (today's Ningling, Henan) and joined with his militia men Cao Cao during the latter's campaign against Lü Bu in Puyang. Cao Cao made him a commandant (duwei ).
Later on Dian Wei played a decisive role in the defense of Cao Cao's headquarters in the province of Jingzhou during the attack of Zhang Xiu's army. Dian died from the wounds received during that battle.
