Good morning.
Today I’ll teach you four words that can be used when referring to people or things. Each one is uncountable. They have different meanings and can be easily confused.
Words
anyone
any one
everyone
every one
Anyone and everyone mean “any person” and “every person,” respectively. Everyone can have a little different meaning. It can mean ‘all.’
Any one means “any single person (or thing).” Every one means “every single person (or thing).”
Listen to the pause in my voice when I say them as two words.
Practice:
Anyone may try out the new dish.
Any one of these dishes may be tried out. Everyone did not like the dish.
Every one of the dishes was horrible.
Anyone can succeed if they work hard.
Any one person can vote at a time.
Everyone was at the party.
Every one of the cars was fast.
These are the words that will make you sound more like a native English speaker when you use them the right way.
That’s all for today.
Goodbye for now.
I hope you have a wonderful day!
ShenXY
Thank you!
