Some people worry that the speakers can hear everything in their homes. Google apologizes for the mistake. Google changes the software again. Now, the speakers cannot hear anything.
However, Google has more problems with privacy(隐私). Google collects information about its customers. This is information about what people buy and what they are interested in. Google uses this information to send people specific ads(广告). These ads bring Google more money.

However, some people worry about their privacy and they are not happy with the way that Google uses some data. Google gets data on its users and uses it to sell specific adds.
Also, Google has a financial share(股份) in a security company. This company will use Google´s internet cameras as a part of a security system for its customers.

Google has admitted that its smart speaker can detect everyday noises in people´s homes.
People who have the Google Home device reported that they got notifications from the speaker when it picked up background noises like a smoke alarm or glass breaking.
Google accidentally introduced this feature during a software update, and the company says that the feature has been disabled(禁用的). However, there are already privacy concerns related to how Google makes money by selling targeted ads using data that the company gets on users.
Recently, Google announced that a security company, in which Google owns 7% stake(股份), will begin using Google´s internet-connected cameras as a part of its customers´ security systems.
