我有一次在图书馆遇到一个小孩耍脾气。当时大家都在安静地看书，突然听到小孩哭叫，要求他妈妈给他买带有图书馆标志的玩具熊。大家都被他的哭闹声所打断了，去看他在干什么。有的人拿出了耳塞，有的人到了另外的阅览室。后来工作人员出来制止了。
Just a few weeks ago, when I wasbrowsing (浏览) the shelves for something interesting to read in our city library, Iran into (碰巧遇见) a child who wasthrowing a tantrum (发脾气).
At the time, everybody in the library was concentrating on their reading or walking as quietly as possible through the bookshelves. All of a sudden, I heardan outburst of crying (一阵哭声). So loud was the sound that all the people in the room were distracted. The noise came from the gift shop of the library, and we saw a young boy, aged around 4, pulling his mom’s sleeve veryforcefully (十分用力地), and yelling at her. After a short while, I understood that the boy wanted a bear with the library logo on but his mom did not think it was a good idea to buy him more toys. That was why the child burst into tearsin a fit of temper (一气之下).
Initially, everyone in the room was looking at them with obvious curiosity, but gradually people got back to what they were doing. Some took out a pair ofear plugs (耳塞) to help them focus, while others just transferred to another room to continue reading. Later on, the library staff came out and asked the son and his mother to keep quiet or they had to leave. From this experience, I realized that it is really important to teach youngsters how to behave in public and also how to express their emotions in an appropriate way.
