上周我参加了我所在的健身房的一个线上跑步比赛，我获得了第三名，奖品是一个运动手环。在最短的时间内跑完5公里的人就可以获胜。我在20名竞争对手中耗时排名第三名，所以可以获得奖品。但是我很羡慕第一名和第二名：第一名获得了一个戴森吹风机，第二名获得了Lululemon的礼品卡。我会继续努力，争取下次能获得更好的名次！
Last week, I took part in an online running race held by my gym. I won the third place witha fitness band（运动手环） as my prize. The band can not only track my steps, but also track my sleeping cycle.
So, what was the race about? The person who can run 5 kilometers in the shortest time will win. Because of covid-19, we cannot gather in the gym to do it side-by-side, but we can run on our own in limited time slots. The judges looked at the screenshots we uploaded in the group chat to tell who the winners were. When I heard about the race I immediately started to run and record the runs using my phone because I was more than confident about my chances of doing well. In the end, I finished third among 20 competitors, so I won a prize.
Although third place is a respectable prize given that I just started my running training 3 months ago, I envy the first and second places: the first got a Dyson hair dryer and the second got a Lululemon gift card! Both are dream prizes for me, and I already have a fitness band. However, this race also gave me someenlightenment（启发）, and as the saying goes:A thousand days the country nurtures its soldiers and all for one day's battle. (养兵千日，用兵一时) .I will continue to work hard and try to get a better place next time!
