A person who likes to help others is my friend John. John was my high school classmate and he was also our class monitor. If I remember correctly, he always got the top grades in our class. For example, when most people scored a C or D on a test, John would always get an A, so his scores were always better than others.
He is a kind and understanding person and he has so much love in him which made all the students in the class love him. In his spare time, John would share his class notes to everyone as well as his experience in learning science subjects. John also hadinfinite patience（无限的耐性） to give us guidance to improve our studies.
He had many good friends and he always gave help to others. I remember John would always help me with my maths because it was my weakest subject（最弱的科目）. Through his help, my maths improved a lot. Besides studying, John did a lot of volunteering work in his community. He said those experiences could give him asense of accomplishment（成就感） and he thought helping others was really meaningful.
In my mind, he will always be there to give me encouragement andconstructive feedback（有建设性的反馈） in life. He gives me a lot of positive energy and I can talk to him about anything, whether it’s about my relationships, my studies or my social circle. He has influenced me greatly and I think he is the perfect example of a helpful person.
