The sun was just starting to rise as Raya and her father left the Chamber of the Dragon Gem.The sound of chickens clucking filled the early-morningair, which felt cool against Raya’s skin.

拉雅和她父亲离开神龙宝石之殿时，太阳刚开始升起。清晨的空气中传来的满是母鸡的咯咯声，拉雅觉得脸庞有点凉。

Heart sat in the center of the dragon-shaped Kumandran River, right where the dragon’s heart would have been. Fed by water from the great river,the Land of Heart was lush and green.

龙心城坐落在龙佑之河的中央，就在这条龙形河流的心脏 处。它为这条大河的水所养育，因而郁郁葱葱。

Inside the palace, Raya led the way down the halls. She walked a few paces ahead of her father,throwing strokes and kicks as she went.

进入宫殿，拉雅率先穿过殿堂。她走在父亲前方几步远处， 边走边拳打脚踢。

Her father watched with amusement. “Well, someone’s excited,” he said.

“Well, yeah.” she said. “I mean, anyone hoping to steal the Dragon Gem now has to face the fury of the two baddest blades in all the lands.

她父亲饶有兴致地看着。“嗯，看来某人很兴奋嘛。”他说。

“那当然了，”她说，“我是说，任何想偷走神龙宝石的人都要面对五地最强的两位剑客。”

“Well, I’m glad you feel prepared, dewdrop,”Benja said, “because I have something important to tell you. The other lands? They’re on their way here as we speak.”

“我很高兴你觉得自己有所准备，小水珠，”蓬加说，“因为我有一 件重要的事要告诉你。其他地区?我们说话这会儿，他们正在赶来。” 

Raya whirled around. “They are?” Watchingher father nod, she continued, “Okay, okay, we can do this. I’m ready. I know exactly how we’ll stopthem.”

“Really? Tell me what you know about the other lands,” he said.

拉雅飞快地转过身，“是吗?”见到父亲点点头，她继续道，“好，好，我们能做到。我准备好了。我完全知道怎么阻止他们。” 

“是吗? 那告诉我，你对其他地区都知道些什么。”他说。

Raya’s imagination took her to a desert region where a mercenary was sharpening and slashing his blade. She could see it as clearly as if it was before her eyes. “First, Tail. A sweltering desert with sneaky mercenaries who fight dirty.”

拉雅的想象力带她来到一片沙漠。在那里，一位雇佣兵正磨 刀霍霍。她能清楚地看到他，就好像这一切都在她面前。“首先是龙尾滩。那是一片闷热的沙漠，到处都是鬼鬼祟祟的雇佣兵，总是 出暗招。”

Next, she imagined a port city where a merchant tossed fruit into the air, slicing it with a pair of knives as it fell. “Second, Talon. A floating market famous for fast deals and fighters with even faster hands.”

On to snow-covered mountains that were home to an army of barbarians. “Third, Spine. A frigid bamboo forest guarded by exceptionally large warriors and their giant axes,” Raya explainedto her father.

Last but not least were the warriors of Fang. 

Raya imagined them holding big cats in their arms. “Fourth, Fang, our fiercest enemy. A nation protected by angry assass ins and their even angrier cats. Hiss!”
