你睡不着吗小小熊 Can’t you sleep, little bear?

Once, there were two bears. Big Bear, and LittleBear.
从前有两只熊，大大熊和小小熊。
Big Bear is the big bear, and Little Bearis the little bear.
大大熊是大熊，小小熊是小熊。
Theyplayed all day in the bright sunlight.
他们整天在阳光下玩耍，
When night came and the sun went down, bigbear took little bear home to the bear cave.
到了晚上，太阳下山了，大大熊就牵小小熊回到他们的熊熊洞。
Big bear put little bear to bed in the darkpart of the cave. “Go to sleep, little bear,” he said.
洞里黑暗的一角有一张床。大大熊把小小熊放在床上，说，“睡吧，小小熊。”
And little bear tried. Big bear settled inthe bear chair and read his bear book by the light of the fire.
小小熊就乖乖地睡。大大熊坐进熊熊椅，借着炉火的光看他的熊熊书。
But little bear couldn’t get to sleep.
但是小小熊睡不着。
“Can’t you sleep, little bear?” asked big bear, putting down his bear book and padding over to thebed.
“你睡不着吗小小熊？”大大熊一边问，一边放下他的熊熊书，慢慢踱到床边。
“I’m scared,” saidlittle bear.
“我怕。”小小熊说。
“Why are you scared, little bear?” asked big bear.
“怕什么呢，小小熊？”大大熊问。
“I don’t like the dark,” said little bear.
“我怕黑。”小小熊说。
“What dark?” askedbig bear.
“怕什么黑？”大大熊问。
“The dark all around us,” said little bear.
“我们四周的黑呀。”小小熊说。
Bigbear looked and he saw that the dark part of the cave was very dark, so he wentto the lantern cupboard and took out the tiniest lantern that was there.
大大熊往四周看了一下，他看见洞里的阴暗处真的很黑，于是他走到灯橱哪儿，从里头拿出最小的一盏灯。
Big bear lit the tiniest lantern and put itnear to little bear’s bed. “There’s a tiny light tostop you being scared, little bear,” said big bear.
大大熊把那盏最小的灯点起来放在小小熊的床头，说：“有了这小小的亮光，你就不会怕了，小小熊。”
“Thank you, big bear,” said little bear, cuddling up in the glow.
“谢谢你，大大熊。”小小熊说。
“Now go to sleep, little bear,” said big bear and he padded back to the bear chair and settled downto read the bear book by the light of the fire.
“现在好好睡吧，小小熊。”大大熊说。他慢慢踱回他的熊熊椅，坐下来，借着炉火的光读他的熊熊书。
Little bear tried to go to sleep but hecouldn’t.
小小熊一心想睡，却怎么也睡不着。
“Can’t you sleep, little bear?” groaned big bear, putting down his bear book and padding over tothe bed.
“你睡不着吗，小小熊？”大大熊咕哝地说，他放下他的熊熊书，慢慢踱到床边。
“I’m scared,” saidlittle bear.
“我怕。”小小熊说。
“Why are you scared, little bear?” asked big bear.
“怕什么呢，小小熊？”大大熊问。
“I don’t like the dark,” said little bear.
“我怕黑。”小小熊说。
“What dark?” askedbig bear.
“怕什么黑？”大大熊问。
“The dark all around us,” said little bear.
“我们四周的黑呀。”小小熊说。
“But I brought you the biggest lantern ofthem all and there isn’t any dark left,” said big bear.
“但是我把灯王都给你拿来了，没有一点儿黑了啊。”大大熊说。
“Yes, there is.” said little bear, “there is out there!” and he pointed out of the big cave, the night.
“有，还有！”小小熊说，“还有黑！在外面哪！”他指着熊熊洞的外面，黑漆漆的一片。
Bigbear saw that little bear was right.
大大熊一看，觉得小小熊说得对。
Big bear was very puzzled, “All the lanterns in the world couldn’t light up the dark outside.”
这下大大熊可难为了。全世界所有的灯都点上了，也照不亮这外头的黑暗哪。
Big bear thought about it for a long timeand then he said, “Come on little bear.”
大大熊把这个问题想了好一会儿，然后他说，“跟我来，小小熊。”
“Where are we going?” asked little bear.
“去哪儿？”小小熊问。
“Out,” said bigbear.
“外头！”大大熊说。
“Out into the darkness?” said little bear.
“是黑黑的外头吗？”小小熊问。
“Yes,” said bigbear.
“是啊！”大大熊说。
“But I, I, I’m scared of the dark,” said little bear.
“可是我怕黑！”小小熊说。
“No need to be,” said big bear and he took little bear by the paw and led him out from the caveinto the night.
“这回不必怕了！”大大熊说完，牵着小小熊，带他走出洞外。
And it was…dark.
进入夜色之中，那儿真的很……黑！
“Woo…I’m scared,” said little bear, cuddling up to big bear.
“呜呜呜——我好怕！”小小熊紧紧依偎着大大熊。
Bigbear lifted little bear and cuddled him and said, “Lookat the dark, little bear.”
大大熊把小小熊抱起来，搂着他，说，“看着这片黑暗，小小熊。”
Andlittle bear looked.
小小熊听话地看着。
“I brought you the moon, little bear,” said big bear, “the bright yellow moon andall the twinkly stars.”
“我已经把月亮给你拿来了，小小熊。”大大熊说，“明亮亮、黄澄澄的月亮哟，还有满天眨眼的星星哪。”
But little bear didn’t say anything, he hadgone to sleep, warm and safe in big bear’s arms.
可是小小熊一句话也没有说，因为他已经睡着了，温暖地、安全地睡在大大熊的臂弯里。
Bigbear carried little bear back into the bear cave, fast asleep.
大大熊把熟睡的小小熊抱进熊熊洞。
And he settled down with little bear on onearm and the bear book on the other, cozy in the bear chair by the fire.
他坐下来，一只手搂着小小熊，一只手拿着书，舒舒服服依偎在火炉旁边的熊熊椅里。
And big bear read the bear book right tothe end.
然后，大大熊读他的熊熊书，直到……结尾！
