Beautiful Smile and Love

[00:11.09]I believe that we are not real social workers. 

[00:20.16]We may be doing social work in the eyes of the people, 

[00:24.11]but we are really contemplatives in the heart of the world. 

[00:28.38]For we are touching the body of Christ twenty-four hours...

[00:33.30]And I think that in our family we don't need bombs and guns, 

[00:38.22]to destroy, to bring peace 

[00:40.61]just get together, 

[00:42.16]love one another, 

[00:43.58]bring that peace, that joy, 

[00:45.97]that strength of presence of each other in the home. 

[00:49.36]And we will be able to overcome all the evil that is in the world.

[00:54.93]And with this prize that I have received as a Prize of Peace, 

[00:59.96]I am going to try to make the home for many people who have no home. 

[01:05.33]Because I believe that love begins at home, 

[01:08.62]and if we can create a home for the poor 

[01:11.90]I think that more and more love will spread. 

[01:15.39]And we will be able through this understanding love to bring peace, 

[01:20.53]be the good news to the poor, 

[01:22.76]the poor in our own family first, 

[01:25.49]in our country and in the world. 

[01:28.10]To be able to do this, our Sisters, 

[01:30.95]our lives have to be woven with prayer. 

[01:34.00]They have to be woven with Christ to be able to understand, 

[01:37.85]to be able to share. 

[01:39.48]Because to be woven with Christ 

[01:42.56]is to be able to understand, 

[01:44.62]to be able to share. 

[01:46.27]Because today there is so much suffering...

[01:49.54]When I pick up a person from the street, hungry, 

[01:53.06]I give him a plate of rice, a piece of bread, 

[01:56.44]I have satisfied. 

[01:58.19]I have removed that hunger. 

[02:00.04]But a person who is shut out, 

[02:02.34]who feels unwanted, unloved, terrified, 

[02:06.06]the person who has been thrown out from society  

[02:09.44]that poverty is so full of hurt and so unbearable...

[02:13.72]And so let us always meet each other with a smile, 

[02:17.77]for the smile is the beginning of love, 

[02:20.38]and once we begin to love each other naturally 

[02:23.46]we want to do something.
