When dealing with others, it is not wise to clash head-on like diamond cutting diamond.
【Xian'er says so: Learn to speak like Bodhisattvas.】
Xian’er said that the ice-cream he makes motivates.
Wang Xiaowu responded that he has never heard that poop-like stuff can motivate.
Wang Xiaowu claimed that he is going to start a business.
Xian’er said that if you don’t start , you won’t fail.
Xian’er said he wants to become a great monk like Shifu.
Wang Xiaowu nodded, I cry when I see Shifu.
Wang Xiaowu said, “I am going to be the richest man in the whole world. “
Xian’er wanted to say that beggars all over the world are laughing at you. But he quickly realized that this would not be appropriate, so he did not say anything.
At first, Xian’er was not satisfied because he did not fight back saying something to annoy Wang Xiaowu . But having waited for a while, he soon realized what matters in speaking. This made him suddenly see the light, no longer dissatisfied, and happy.
Wang Xiaowu did not know what has happened and kept asking:
Xian’er, why don’t you fight back? Are you admitting that you cannot win with me? I know I am better, you see!

Below are quoted from my Shifu’s new book, Say Good Things—Master Xuecheng’s insight on the path to speaking like a Buddha.
Actually, we are all noble as we are filled with light inside.
But why is it that we often cannot control ourselves and keep on fighting?
It’s because we are immersed in ignorance and afflictions.
We study Buddhism in order to get rid of afflictions as if mopping the dust off to explore the light from within.
Essentially, the way Bodhisattvas speak is love.
To speak loving words, caring words, and words to benefit others.

说话做事不能针尖对麦芒
贤二如是说：学菩萨说话
贤二说自己做的冰激凌很励志。
王小五就说，
没听说便便一样的东西还能励志。
王小五说他要创业。
贤二说，不作死就不会死。
贤二说，我将来要成为师父那样的大和尚。
王小五说，我看到大和尚都哭了。
王小五说，我要成为世界首富。
贤二刚想说天下的乞丐全都笑了。
但是，觉得这样说话很不合适，
就憋着没说。
刚开始有点不过瘾，感觉没有反唇相讥，
用语言扎对方一下，心里不痛快，
但只是把伤人的话忍了片刻，
很快就灵光一现，找到说话用功的要领了，
顿时心中烦恼止息，
茅塞顿开，心生欢喜。
王小五不知道发生了什么，
反复问贤二，
贤二，你怎么不跟我斗嘴了，
斗不过我了吧，认怂了吧，
就知道你不行。呵呵。

|以下来自我师父的《好好说话》
其实，每个人都很尊贵，
每个人内心都充满了光明。
但为什么常常控制不住自己，争执不断呢？
因为被无明——烦恼所缠。
之所以学佛，就是为了把这个烦恼拿掉，
就像把尘埃抹掉，内心如镜的光明就出来了。
归根到底，菩萨的说话之道就是爱。
就是要说爱语，说柔软语，说利他的话。
