In themorning, the sun was shining brightly. Older brother mouse and younger brothermouse were dancing happily outside the house.
Ouch! Youngerbrother mouse bumped againsta stone accidently and fell down.
“Ouch! Oh…”younger brother mouse kept his hand over the knee andcried.
“Baby, what’s up?” Mother mouse heard the cry and came up.She held younger brother mouse in her arms and found that his knee was injured.
Mother mouseclean the wound for younger brother mouse with awet towel. Older brother mouse volunteered to fetchthe medical box.
“Where are theband-aids? All ran out?” Older brother mouse wasworried. What should he do?
“Good boy, I’mgoing to buy the band-aids. Please take care of youryounger brother.”
“Ok, Mom. Iwill take good care of my brother!”
Mom went out.Older brother mouse held his weeping brother inthe arms and comforted him, “Don’t worry. Mom will come back soon.”
Older brothermouse wiped younger brother mouse’s tears away. He patted hisbrother on his back gently like mom.
Older brothermouse brought a storybook and read stories to younger brother mouse. Youngerbrother mouse stopped crying gradually and fell asleep after a while.
Finally, momcame home with the band-aids. She stroked olderbrother mouse’s head said happily, “My baby has grown up. You could look afteryour brother for Mom!”
Older brothermouse swelled out hischest with pride and said, “Yes, I have grown up! I will do more thingsfor Mom in future!”
