Everyone, no matter who they are, deservesto be treated with dignity and respect.

每一个人，不论他是谁，都应该受到尊敬地对待。

You might not agree with a person’spolitical views, their religious beliefs or perspective on life. You might evendisapprove of their actions and behavior. But that doesn’t mean you can’trespect them. If you got an opposing opinion, express it… but be respectful.

Choose the most appropriate time to havethe conversation. Communicate face to face, ideally, and use warm vocal tones.Begin by acknowledging the other person’s point of view. For example, say:‘I understandand respect what you’re saying, but here’s another way of looking at it…’Then explainyour opinion by stating the facts as you see them and how they make you feel.

We’ve all been exposed to a variety ofexperiences in life and have been cultured by our environments. We don’t haveto agree with everything a person says or believes, but we should alwaysrespect them.

你也许不同意某人的政治观点、宗教信仰或对生活的认识，你也许甚至反对他们的某些行为和做法。但这并不意味着你可以不尊重他们。如果你有相反的观点，表达出来，但是要充满敬意。

选择最恰当的时机，最好是面对面地交谈，并且用温和的口吻。开始时先认可他人的观点，比如可以这样说：“我理解并且尊重你的说的，但是还有另外一种方法来看待这件事…”然后用事实和你的感受来解释你的观点。

我们都经受着不同的人生境遇，我们都被周围环境的文化所影响。我们不必完全接受他人的观点和想法，但是我们一定要尊重别人。
