很多形容词以ing或ed结尾，例如boring和bored。这两个词都是形容“无聊的”，那么在用法上有什么区别呢？
我们来打个比方：
Jane has been doing the same job for a very long time. Everyday she does exactly same thing again and again. She doesn’t enjoy her job anymore and would like to do something different.
简做这份工作已经很久了。每天她都做着重复的工作。她不再喜欢这份工作了，并且去做点不一样的事情。
那么我们可以说：
Jane’s job is boring.
简的工作很无聊。
Jane is bored (with her job).
简觉得很无聊。（因为做这份工作）
这两者的区别在于somebody is bored if something or someone else is boring.
因此我们可以说：
Jane is bored because her job is boring.
简觉得很无聊，是因为她的工作很无聊。

如果我们要用boring来形容人，那么说明这个人让别人觉得无聊they make other people bored，我们几个例子：
George always talks about the same things. He’s really boring.
乔治总是谈论同样的事情，他这个人特别无聊。

以ing结尾的形容词表达事物给人的感觉。例如：
my job is boring.
interesting.
tiring
satisfying
depressing
而以ed结尾的形容词表达人对事物的感觉。例如：
I’m bored with my job.
I’m not interested in my job anymore.
I get very tired doing my job.
I’m not satisfied with my job.
My job makes me depressed.
