The Eagle and the Crow习得如何让故事描写更形象的技能之连续性动作描写

    A crow saw an eagle rush down from the sky on to a lamb, catch it with its claws and fly straight back.

    The crow thought it was so cool and he wanted to do the same.

    So he opened his claws like the eagle. But the lamb was much too heavy for him. The crow’s little claws got caught in the lamb’s thick wool, so the bird was trapped there.

    The shepherd saw the crow,caught him and put him in a cage.

    “You stupid crow. Please see yourself clearly before you act,” the shepherd laughed.

    一只乌鸦看到老鹰从天上飞下来，很轻松地抓了一只小羔羊飞走了。

    乌鸦觉得老鹰很帅，自己也可以试试。

    于是他就学着老鹰的样子张开了爪子，但是小羔羊太沉了，自己的爪子根本抓不住羊身上厚厚的毛，于是被困住了。

    这时牧羊人看见了他，把他逮进笼子里了。

    “你这只笨乌鸦，太不自量力了，也不看看你自己几斤几两！”牧羊人嘲笑着说。

今天这个故事中乌鸦的“东施效颦”，告诉我们做事情一定要三思而后行，Think before you act.

这个文章中，有两处描写都是连续性动作的并列。第一段中乌鸦看到老鹰rush down from the sky on to a lamb, catch it with its claws and fly straight back. 以及第四段中牧羊人的一系列动作 The shepherd saw the crow, caught him and put him in a cage. 这是一个很简单，又很有用的故事描写方法，它可以让故事情节更生动形象，产生强烈的视觉感。拿第四段的动作连续描写做例子，如果把这个句子写成 The shepherd saw the crow. He decided to catch him. Then he put the crow in a cage. 我们能感觉到，本来连续的一气呵成的3个动作，被分隔开来了，文字对应的视觉感就消失了。接下来我们尝试描写一下这个场景：（早上起床晚了，上学要迟到了）Tom一下子从床上跳了下来，拿了几片面包，就冲出了家门。仿照故事中连续性动作的描写，我们知道下划线对应得就是这个场景中的连续性动作。Tom sprang out of bed, grabbed some bread and dashed out.

其中sprang的原形是单词spring，但可不是我们熟悉的“春天”的意思，它在这里是动词，意思为“跳，跃，蹦”，spring out of bed就是“从床上跳下来”的意思；其次，grab意为“抓取；匆忙地拿取”，这个就比大家可能会想到的 take 意思更具体，更符合这个场景了；最后，dash其实也可以用rush替换，它俩都是 walk 的更具体的描写词汇，意思为“急奔；猛冲”，dash/rush out 冲出去， dash/rush into 冲进来。
