Some believe that sufferers of bedtime procrastination seem to also delay doing other things. However, not everyone agrees. Some people naturally prefer to sleep and wake up later than others. School and many jobs require people to sleep earlier to get enough rest, though. This causes a problem for those who naturally sleep late. These people might feel tired if they sleep late but wake up early.
Bedtime procrastination can be helped with things such as good sleep hygiene. This means going to bed at the same time every day. It also means not using screens before bedtime. Exercise in the daytime can also make people feel sleepy before bedtime. If you often delay your bedtime, a few changes might be all you need.
