Jing River is the largest tributary of Wei River, but Wei River is the largest tributary of Yellow River.
泾河是渭河最大的支流，而渭河又是黄河最大的支流。
Because the two rivers have different amounts of sand，the water of the Jing River is clear, while the water of the Wei River is cloudy.
因为两条河流的含沙量不同，所以形成了泾河的水清澈，而渭河的水浑浊。
When the water of Jing River flows into Wei River, the boundary between clear and cloudy is quite distinct.
当泾河的水流入渭河时，清与浊的界限相当分明。
Therefore, people often use this idiom to describe what is right and wrong.
