Hey, welcome back, here’s English Panorama. I’m your old friend, Vivian. This will be my last program. It sounds like a sorrowful farewell and it does upset me actually. But the time for saying goodbye will ultimately come anyway. Through the life journey, you will keep leaving somewhere you used to stay for a long time and saying goodbye to someone you used to spend all your free time with and recall them in some points of peaceful nights. I thought, it’s not the parting, but what you learn from this life episode that matters.
Hello, 欢迎回到English Panorama. 依旧是你的老朋友，我是阿咪。快乐的时光总是留不住的，在电台的三年时间一晃而过，好像刚刚就在昨天，我才乐颠颠地收到那条日思夜想的录取短信。难过是有的，但恍惚的感觉多一点。好像，疫情冲刷了太多的告别，没有完全的告别，也就没有完全的离开。人生的绿皮车总会经停无数个站，除了终点站，从不逗留。行程过程中的旅客上上下下，每停一个站都有未知的邂逅和不舍的离别，循环往复，直至生命的完结。偶尔，你可能会在某个宁静的午夜回想起你在某一站遇到的相见恨晚、无话不谈的陌生人，你可能会有些懊悔没有留下她的联系方式，但是那天她在车窗外落日余晖的照映下所说的一番心里话却久久停留在你的心尖儿，甚至可能改变了你人生中一个重要的选择。我想，人生电影的每一帧不可能是为了凑时长，更多是为了增加生命的重量。对于我们每个人来说，最重要的不是这每天都要经历的离别，而是你在这段短短的人生电影片段中获得了什么。你是否学到了什么。
And on this special day, I want to introduce you to a girl. You don’t need to ask me who this girl will be. Well，It can be me, can be you, can be anyone.
On January 1st, 2000, she came to this world without knowing it at all. She got to learn everything from the very start. Like how to get along with her family, the appropriate way of treating friends, and of course how to love someone with her true heart. She laughs, she cries, she’s high spirited sometimes, she feels down sometimes. Life is not that easy and she is not that perfect. But she is learning everyday and she becomes better every day. So let’s get on this girl’s life truck, and see what she has lost and what she will get.
1. Real Friends
The girl doesn’t know the last time she got some relaxing chitchat with her best friends with the most genuine smile emerging on her face. But now It seems to be the most luxurious thing to her. Because right now she was surrounded by a group of so-called friends. They’re talking about something actively. The girl said a lot of words, pretending to be so interested in the conversation. But actually, all she wanna do is leaving the room and lying in her soft bed without no one’s company.
But she can’t, she needs friends. Uh……no, she told herself that she needs more friends. She tries so hard to please, to cater, to fit in the group. But she didn’t feel any sense of happiness.
She got tired.
女孩不知道上一次和两三好友放松地谈天说地是什么时候了。在当时，她的脸上流露着最真挚的笑容。然而这对现在的她来说已经是最奢侈的事了。因为此时她正被一群所谓的朋友的包围着，她们热情高涨的讨论着什么，女孩吧啦吧啦说了一堆话，似乎很感兴趣的样子，实际上她一只耳朵进一只耳朵出，她的思绪已经踱出这个拥挤燥热的小屋子，飘到她柔软的床单上，享受着快乐的孤独时光。
但是她不行，她需要朋友，至少她告诉自己需要更多的朋友。于是她非常非常努力的去讨好，去迎合，去融入一个与她的个性格格不入的朋友圈。她十分不开心。她累了。
Before long girl came to realize, it’s the admiration, the understanding, and the mutual interest that pull the hearts of two people closer. It’s a natural, spontaneous process. All the intentional pleasing and deliberate catering will be a huge irony to this beautiful process.
The girl started to get that all she did is meaningless work. It brought her nothing but more sense of emptiness and loneliness. So she stops attending the boring party with people she hates to be involved with. She tries to express her true feeling. She will argue intensely if there is a need. For a word, she no longer forces herself to make friends. If friends can’t be the ones you can’t wait to share what happened today with, then being alone is the better choice, she thinks.
没过多久，女孩开始意识到，唯有相互的欣赏、思想上的相通和共同的爱好才能拉近两个人的心。这是一个十分自然轻松的自发过程，任何带有目的性的讨好和迎合都是对这一美好结合的讽刺。女孩知道自己的努力到头来都是在无意义地忙活。除了更多的空虚感和孤独感，并不能带给她所期许的情谊。因此她不再参加无聊的派对。她开始表达自己的真实感受，她开始在必要的时候与人激烈地争论。总之，她不再强迫自己交朋友。她想，如果朋友不是你迫不及待想要分享今日所见的那个人，那么似乎独自一个人也不失为一个更好的选择。
2. Falling
The girl has fallen in love with a boy. They started to date, to take the trip, to share the private secrets of themselves. It’s the girl’s first love. She was born to a big family where she has been treated as the baby girl by all her family members. She is always the one who is so well cherished, which results in her lack of experience of cherishing others. She likes the boy so much, but sometimes she is so selfish and didn’t give enough attention to his feeling. She easily gets impatient if the boy didn’t reply to her message occasionally within 2 minutes even she is the one who never replies to messages in time. When she’s angry with the boy, she insists on shutting her mouths up without telling him any reason no matter how the boy begs her. She thought, if the boy is her true love, then he should figure it out himself.
Until that day, the boy buried his head deeply in the girl’s arms, kneeling down on the ground, repeating the same word, “If you don’t tell me the reason why you are mad at me, I will never figure it out, so just let me know, please.” He sounded like he was about to cry, but his voice was still that tender. Looking down on his back, it dawned on the girl that the boy nearly lost patience and was about to shout at her unreasonable act several times, but he never. Yeah, he never. He is so tall，but now he is curling beside her feet like a poor little kitty like he did something unforgivable. The girl’s eyes were soulful at some point. She bent down and hugged the boy back with all her force. She gently touched his soft hair and realized that, in one love relationship, receiving and giving is equally important. Maybe, to match the love the boy gave her, she still has a lot to do.
3. Day Dreamer
Waking up in the morning, the girl never gets out of bed at once. She likes to stretch out her arms and lie on the other side of the bed with her wide eyes staring at the ceiling，then she commences the “daily journey” in her mind, picturing herself to be anyone or anything else. In her dreams, sometimes she is a law lady in a suit, pacing back and forth in the serious court, defending intensely for her clients with her face totally turning red during the debate. Sometimes she is a young salesclerk of a luxury shop with exaggerated makeup, dressed in fancy clothes, providing service, picking goods fit for customers. She can always do an excellent job of satisfying all kinds of requests made by demanding customers perfectly. And sometimes the girl will turn into a lazy owl, which is reluctant to fly out to find food, but stays at its comfortable nest and waits to be fed by its mommy. It seems to be a spoiled owl. And something like that.
每一天清晨，女孩醒来后从来不会马上起床，她喜欢最大限度地伸展四肢，躺在床的另一头，双眼一动不动凝视着天花板，仍由思绪漂浮在房间的半空中，开始她天马行空的“日常无厘头幻想环节”。在她的想象中，有时她是西装革履的女律师，在严肃的法庭上来回踱步，时常在辩论环节为她的委托人争辩地面红耳赤；有时她是奢侈店的年轻售货小姐，带着夸张精致的妆容，穿着花哨的制服，她对这项工作似乎在行，总能完美解决刁蛮顾客提出的各种无理要求；而有时，女孩就化身变成了一只懒惰的猫头鹰，不情愿外出觅食，而是赖在舒适的巢中等待妈妈的投食，看来这是一只被宠坏的猫头鹰，还有许许多多。
It used to be one of the girl’s happiest time when she is still little. But now, as soon as the morning alert rings, she will just leap out of the bed and head to the bathroom to get a quick wash. Then another busy day begins. The girl is occupied with learning courses and other work relating to study the whole day. The girl even gets no time to have a meal sometimes，let alone being a happy daydreamer in the morning. However, she understands what is more important now. She is 21. There are unlimited possibilities for her. But to let the possibilities become reality, she needs to do more. And being a dreamer or picturing the distant future in the mind would never make it happen. All she has to do now is to try her best to run, run, and run, to the future, to embrace her daydream, to be who she really can be.
这曾经是女孩小时候最快乐的时光之一。但现在，只要早晨的闹钟一响，她会立马溜下床，直奔浴室，简单的洗漱之后，忙碌的一天便开启了。女孩每天的时间都被各种课程和学习工作所充斥，有时忙到连饭都顾不上吃，更不要说当个快乐的白日梦者了。然而，女孩知道，对于现在的她来说，什么才是最重要的。她21岁了，在她身上有无限的可能性，但是要让这种可能性开花结果，她需要做更多。而当一个每天只会在脑子里对未来浮想联翩的白日梦者，所有可能性都会被扼杀在襁褓中。所以此刻她最需要做的就是不停奔跑，奔跑，跑向她的未来，真正拥抱她的“白日梦“，成为她真正可以成为的人。
这个女孩的故事还在待续中，等待这个女孩的未知关卡，没有最多，只会越来越多。
每一次的通关，女孩的学习清单就会多划掉一项，但同时，她的内心深处也会多出一份空落落的记忆。但这似乎是长大的必经之路。没人能说清这是好事还是坏事。因为每一次的成长似乎都意味着对内心毫不客气的鞭挞，每一次的领悟似乎都伴随着一个不太讨喜的回忆。有得也有失。
我在前面说过，这个女孩可能是我，可能是你，也可能是我们每一个人，希望借助这个生活在平行时空的女孩儿，祝愿各位，在每一段令你们自信闪耀的高光时刻，亦或是在每一次让你们失落无助的人生低潮中，学到的永远比失去的多。
