Marvel gets Chinese superheroes

漫威推出中国超级英雄

The first Chinese superheroes have officially entered the Marvel universe. 

漫威宇宙正式推出首批中国超级英雄。

Aero and Lin Lie are just two of a batch of Chinese characters making their debut in graphic novels. 

一系列中国角色近日在漫画小说中正式亮相，气旋和林烈只是其中两个角色。

Lin Lie is the main protagonist in one of the new comics, loosely translated as "Warriors of Three Sovereigns". 

林烈是其中一部新漫画《三皇斗战士》的主角。

The story revolves around an 18-year-old boy who picks up an ancient sword to fight against Chiyou, a reincarnated villain intent on destroying mankind. 

故事主要讲述18岁男孩林烈手持古剑对抗企图毁灭人类的转世反派蚩尤的故事。

Another comic, which translates to "Cyclone", features Aero, also known as Lei Ling. She's an architect with the ability to control air currents. 

另一部漫画《气旋》的主人公气旋，又叫雷凌，白天是一名建筑师，有控制气流的本领。

By night, she uses her superpowers to save her city from villains. 

到了晚上，她利用自己的超能力对抗各种反派，守护她的城市。

Co-authored by Marvel and NetEase, one of China's biggest online comic platforms, the comics are a clear push by Marvel to attract more fans across the lucrative Chinese market.

这些超级英雄由漫威联手中国最大在线漫画平台之一网易推出，此举显然是为了让漫威在利润丰厚的中国市场吸引更多粉丝。

Will Meghan be a princess?

The wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will give the 36-year-old bride a serious title upgrade.

与哈里王子完婚后，36岁的梅根马克尔将会得到一个正式头衔。

But will she be a princess? By virtue of Harry being a prince, Markle will technically be a princess. 

她会成为"王妃"吗？既然哈里是王子，那梅根应该算是王妃。

But she is unlikely to go by "Princess Meghan".

但她不太可能得到"梅根王妃"的称号。

Some British media outlets, including the BBC and the Telegraph, speculated Queen Elizabeth will name Harry the Duke of Sussex when he marries Markle. That would make Markle the Duchess of Sussex. 

包括英国广播公司和《电讯报》在内的一些英媒猜测，伊丽莎白女王将在哈里与梅根大婚当日封哈里王子为萨塞克斯公爵，而梅根将顺理成章地成为萨塞克斯公爵夫人。

That would follow tradition, as the queen named her eldest grandson, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge when he married Kate Middleton in 2011.

But what about "princess"? In British royal custom, the title of princess is usually bestowed upon royal-born family members, like Princess Charlotte, Prince William and Middleton's daughter. 

那么"princess(王妃/公主)"的头衔怎么使用呢？根据英国王室惯例，通常只有拥有王室血统的女性成员名字前才能冠以"princess"头衔，比如威廉王子与米德尔顿的女儿夏洛特公主。

It is not usually extended to people who marry into the family.

Crawfish appearing on Berlin menus

Crawfish will soon be appearing in Berlin's restaurants after its government authorized fishermen to remove them from public ponds. 

随着柏林市政府准许渔民捕捞公共池塘里的小龙虾，小龙虾将很快现身这个城市的各大餐厅。

The particular breed of rapidly reproducing shellfish is originally from the southern US and northern Mexico.They are popular aquarium pets and it's thought their increasing numbers are due to people having dumped the crustaceans in the city's lakes. 

这种繁殖迅速的甲壳类动物最早来自美国南部和墨西哥北部，是一种受欢迎的水族宠物，据称，如今它们数量增多是因为有人将这种甲壳纲动物丢弃在了城市的池塘里。

Having reached epidemic proportions, the simplest solution to the problem appears to be eating the creatures.

Berlin's health and environmental authorities have cleared the crawfish, labeled an invasive species by the European Commission, for public consumption, meaning there is likely to be a whole lot of crawfish popping up on menus around Berlin this summer.

Broken vase fetches ￡87,000

A pensioner's broken vase, which she was planning to give to a charity shop, has sold for ￡87,000. Anne Beck, 83, inherited the cracked and chipped ornament from her grandfather and kept it in her garage for 11 years. 

近日，一位退休女子本打算将一只破损的花瓶送给某慈善商店，结果这只花瓶最终却以8.7万英镑的价格售出。现年83岁的安妮?贝克是从祖父那里继承了这只破损的花瓶，11年来一直把它存放在车库里。

Beck eventually decided to give away the crumbling item for free. But a chance conversation at an auction house convinced her to put it up for sale. 

最终，贝克决定把这只破损的花瓶免费送人。但机缘巧合在拍卖行进行的一次谈话说服她拍卖了这只花瓶。

"After I consigned it for auction I thought ￡100 would be nice," Beck said. The heirloom was then snapped up by a Germany-based Chinese buyer for a staggering ￡87,000.

The relic, depicting a Chinese mythical god who lives in the clouds receiving gifts for his birthday, was made for Emperor Qianlong in the 1700s. Had the yellow floral vase not been damaged it would have been worth between ￡250 million and ￡500 million, according to experts.

这只古董花瓶产自18世纪，是为乾隆皇帝制造的，瓶身上描绘的是中国神话里一位住在天上的神仙正在接受寿礼。专家称，若这只有黄色花纹的花瓶没有受损，其价值本该在2.5亿-5亿英镑之间。
