[Shanghai Retains its Attractiveness as Financial Center]
Shanghai maintained its position as a top financial hub behind New York and London in the latest Global Financial Centers Index report released yesterday, according to London-based market research company Z/Yen Partners. The ranking was unchanged from the previous rating six months ago.
Shanghai is followed by other Asian cities including Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo and Shenzhen. The latest index showed that the overall cities' rating are lower than the 2019 level, reflecting an uncertain economic environment brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Shanghai's financial market increased last year with overall transactions hitting 2,275 trillion yuan, nearly a sixfold increase from a decade ago. The report also analyzed 105 financial centers in terms of fintech offerings, with Shanghai ranking second after New York, highlighting the government's efforts to attract industry professionals.
全球前十大金融中心排名依次为：纽约、伦敦、上海、香港、新加坡、北京、东京、深圳、法兰克福、以及苏黎世。继去年9月上次排名后，上海蝉联全球第三，国际金融中心地位日益巩固；而大部分城市的平均综合评分出现一定幅度下降，表明新冠疫情对全球经济金融形势的负面影响仍在持续。
上海作为全球最早实现金融业全面复工复产的金融中心城市，去年金融市场成交总额达2275万亿元，为2010年的5.9倍；全球资产规模排名前十的资管机构目前都已在上海设立机构、开展业务；此外，在数字化转型方面，上海金融科技的排名进一步上升至全球第二，仅次于纽约。
